tl;dr - Invite awesome people to Cyberr, verified referrals earn an entry into our July prize draw. 🎉

When we made ID verification a requirement for posting and commenting on Cyberr, we knew it would raise a few eyebrows. Why make it seemingly harder to contribute?

We didn't want to give bots, spammers, and sock puppet accounts a platform. There's too much of that happening on other networks, and we want your experience here to be significantly better than that. A professional community is only as good as the people in it. Every question, every answer, every discussion and every introduction shapes what Cyberr becomes.

So if you've completed ID verification, thank you - you've already helped raise the bar for the community.

We'd also really appreciate you helping us grow. 🚀

Think about the people you'd genuinely like to see here. The folks who share their knowledge, ask thoughtful questions, help others, or quietly make the cybersecurity community better. We'd love them to be here too - so please invite them along.

And that goes for people you think would benefit from joining the community too - people starting out in their career, the folks in your teams at work, friends on discords, the people you love hanging out with at events.

⭐ As a thank you, every verified referral between now and 31 July 2026 earns you an entry into our July prize draw - where you could win one of four Amazon vouchers: 1 x $1,000, 1 x $500, 2 x $250. ⭐

Every Cyberr member has a personal referral link, and there are two ways to find it.

Option 1 🔗 - Open the menu on the left and head to 'Invite & Earn'. You'll find your personal referral link under 'Your Referral Link'.

Option 2 📱 - Because who doesn't love a QR code... Open My Profile (either from the left-hand menu or by clicking your profile picture in the top right), click the ••• menu, then choose 'Show QR Code'.

Share your referral link or QR code on Bluesky, X, Reddit, LinkedIn, Discord in your favourite community, at events, in presentations, or simply send it directly to people you know.

Getting it tattooed is probably a bit much... but you're all adults and can make your own choices. 😉

A few things to know:

You must be an ID verified member to be included in the draw.

Every verified referral earns one entry.

There's no limit to the number of entries you can earn.

Cyberr team members are not eligible (sorry, Laurent).

Entries close at 23:59 UTC on 31 July 2026

Prizes cannot be exchanged for cash or an alternative prize.

Winners are responsible for complying with any applicable tax laws or reporting requirements in their jurisdiction.

Here's to building an awesome community, together. 💜
