About

I began my tech journey in cybersecurity, developing hands-on skills in network security and ethical hacking. I've spent extensive time in lab environments mastering enumeration, service analysis, and system exploitation using tools like Nmap, Metasploit, and Wireshark. Understanding the attacker mindset gave me a strong foundation in securing infrastructure.

Recently, my curiosity has evolved toward the scalability and complexity of cloud environments. I am actively transitioning my focus to cloud engineering, driven by a passion for designing and securing resilient, cloud-native systems. I’m currently bridging my security knowledge with cloud platforms and infrastructure-as-code (IaC), aiming to build secure, modern architectures from the ground up

So, all tasks are done. 📦

As my internship wraps up, I’m taking a moment to look back at the steep learning curve I’ve climbed. Walking into the cloud engineering space, I knew it was vast—but the hands-on experience of actually building and securing infrastructure has been incredible.

While I can't dive into the specific client details (confidentiality is key in this field), I wanted to share a glimpse of the technical "wins" that defined my journey:

☁️ Project 1: The Serverless Leap

I had the opportunity to host a static website in a serverless environment on Azure. It was a crash course in moving away from traditional hosting and embracing the scalability and efficiency of "NoOps."

🖥️ Project 2: Securing the Sandbox

Preparing a stable web server environment using Microsoft Azure for a client meant getting my hands dirty with Linux permissions. I significantly sharpened my understanding of "chown" - Change-Ownership and "chmod" - Change-mode, specifically the numeric notation (4 [Read], 2 [Write], 1[Execute]) for User, Group, and Others. It’s one thing to read about permissions; it's another to implement them correctly to secure a live environment.

🛢️ Project 3: The Database Fortress

We provisioned a Relational Database Service (RDS) to help a client migrate their Excel workflows to the cloud. The goal wasn't just migration, but reliability. I learned to implement strict privacy protocols to prevent crashes and ensure uptime, all while respecting the CIA triad (Confidentiality, Integrity, Availability). Making the RDS private was a highlight—ensuring the data stayed safe while remaining accessible to the client.

🧰 Side Project (The Solo Run):

Beyond the main tasks, I ran a side project that required heavy research. When you don't have a blueprint, you have to improvise. I learned how to bridge the gap between "theoretical best practices" and "what actually works" when building from scratch.
