About
Caleb K. Chemobo is a cybersecurity analyst with hands-on experience in threat detection, security monitoring, and vulnerability assessment within Security Operations Center (SOC) environments. He specializes in analyzing security events, investigating suspicious activity, and strengthening organizational defenses through proactive monitoring and incident response.
Caleb has practical experience working with SIEM platforms such as Splunk, performing log analysis, network traffic monitoring, and threat investigation. He has contributed to improving detection accuracy by refining alert rules, reducing false positives, and identifying vulnerabilities through network scans and security assessments. His work combines technical analysis with an understanding of modern threat frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK, enabling him to map attacker behaviors and strengthen detection strategies.
He also brings experience supporting enterprise IT environments through endpoint security management, access control, and infrastructure support. During his time as an IT Support Intern, he assisted in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network-related issues while supporting secure user account management and system access controls. These experiences helped him understand how core security principles such as least privilege, identity protection, and endpoint security are implemented in real organizational environments.
In addition, Caleb has experience in network traffic analysis and packet inspection using tools such as Wireshark. Through vulnerability assessments and network scans, he has helped identify security weaknesses and provided recommendations that support stronger organizational security posture. His analytical approach allows him to investigate alerts, identify anomalies, and document findings that contribute to effective incident response and remediation.
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Information Technology, Caleb has completed cybersecurity training programs including Cisco’s Introduction to Cybersecurity, Networking Basics, the ALX Cybersecurity Program, and the SOC Level 1 learning path on TryHackMe. These programs provided hands-on exposure to threat detection, incident response workflows, and security monitoring techniques.
Caleb is passionate about continuous learning, threat intelligence, and helping organizations strengthen their security posture through effective monitoring, risk management, and security awareness initiatives. His focus is on defensive security, SOC operations, and building resilient systems capable of detecting and responding to evolving cyber threats.
