I’ve been shortlisted for Godmother of Security in the Security Serious Unsung Heroes Awards 2026. 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
The category recognises people who’ve spent more than 25 years in the industry and made a significant contribution to information security, which is both extremely flattering and a mildly savage reminder of how long I’ve been doing this. 😅
Cybersecurity has given me a career full of wonderful experiences, thoroughly brilliant people, some frankly ridiculous moments, and more industry change than I could possibly have imagined when I started. Which may or actually definitely was in the previous millennium.
Being recognised like this genuinely means a lot, and seeing the folks also on the various shortlists, I’m in seriously great company - including Andy James, Nikki Webb, Alan Jenkins/AJ , Natasha Harley and also Cyber House Party! 💖
