📦 The software supply chain surface just expanded again.
For the first time, threat actors are actively using the centralized HashiCorp Registry to distribute malicious Go-based payloads disguised as legitimate Terraform providers.
This highlights a massive systemic risk: engineering teams are pulling third-party operational infrastructure modules into core environments under a cloud of implied trust. Once an unverified provider is integrated, it crosses local trust lines with highly privileged access tokens natively attached.
When our automated scanning engine flagged over 364,000 structural trust anomalies, it proved that this hidden supply chain surface is completely saturated with unverified component handoffs.
Organizations cannot manage 2026 infrastructure security by manually auditing individual repository dependencies. True governance requires an automated, queryable system of evidence that continuously validates the structural integrity of every active artifact before execution.
The infrastructure paradigm has shifted. Secure-by-design isn't an objective; it's an immediate operational requirement. 🛠️
