CISA just sounded an absolute alarm on two critical zero-days hitting Citrix NetScaler ADC and Gateway systems (CVE-2026-88771 and CVE-2026-88772). Threat actors are actively deploying memory-based shellcode directly onto perimeter systems to execute unauthenticated remote commands. Worse, patching the systems completely wipes out the volatility logs required to check for active compromise. This is a structural nightmare for enterprise infrastructure. If a vulnerability allows unauthenticated input to pass cleanly into memory before verification, your traditional upper-tier security stack is already bypassed. Security cannot rely on perimeter hardening when the perimeter software itself is full of exploitable logic flaws. The ETB framework solves this by shifting the entire defensive posture straight to the bare-metal ingress layer. By running strict, deterministic Layer-Zero gate logic outside the application layer, packet structures are permanently evaluated before any memory allocation or command execution can occur. When security is enforced as an unmovable execution-time boundary, memory overflows and path traversals cannot spawn a shell. The gate simply stays shut.
