A risk score without context is just a number.
87/100.
Critical.
High confidence.
The interface may tell the analyst how serious something is.
But if it doesn't explain why, the analyst still has work to do.
Which signals influenced the score?
What changed?
What makes this different from similar findings?
Can I trust the recommendation?
Security products increasingly calculate risk for users.
Good security UX should make that reasoning understandable.
Because automation can suggest the decision.
Trust comes from understanding why.

Liam R.: Agreed, this is why in the tools I develop I look for mitigations and exploitability... as well as the CVSS scoring..
