Why are we building Heelr?
Two reasons, really.
The first one is what's happening to people right now. There are layoffs everywhere, and if you're on the receiving end of that, most of what you're looking at is vague or slow or not really an opportunity at all. But a lot of you have expertise that somebody would pay for today, if you could just see who's asking. So that's the first thing I wanted - to put those opportunities in front of you, openly, so you can decide for yourself what's worth your time.
The second one is the other side of it. I talk to companies who have a security problem sitting in front of them and honestly no idea what to do about it. They're not lazy, they're lost. They don't know who to call, they don't know what good looks like, and so they wait, and waiting is the worst thing you can do with a security problem.
And I kept thinking, these two groups need each other and they can't find each other. That's why Heelr exists.
