Hello everyone. I feel weird and I never really gave it thought because I always try to stay busy. Little information about me. I was involved in Sleep Medicine performing sleep studies for 13 years, last 4 was designing and installing a neurology sleep center for a big university hospital here. We became accredited as soon as we were allowed to be with the 1 year open requirement. That wasnt fun but it wasnt the investigator that was the issue, it was the stress of second guessing everything you'd done to prepare for this that drove you insane. Passed no problem though. Ran the place for 4 years and left as I had built and ran a completely different business i needed to go full time on. 19 years later had whittled down actual competition to one other. We both were doing private label work for the others if they weren't going out of the country for their needs. Woke up at 2-230am, uncomfortable feeling in shoulder, abnormal because that been numb for years falling a surgery 25 years prior. Drove myself to the ER to be told you're in the middle of a major heart attack, where is the person that drove you in? Um me.
They couldn't believe that. Guys i was a fighter for years so pain scale 1-2, its uncomfortable to keep me awake. So immediate in the hospital. Quintuple bypass and a week later add the pacemaker which killed any welding. With their response to the question "can I still weld?"we buried it deep enough you SHOULD be fine but im no bigger than the next guy and they iterally installed steel plates to account for future heavy weight but pacemaker ended that.
So im sitting bored at home for 6 months before I could even begin to think, going insane because I normally had 2 days off a year if you combined half days. Turns out the medical issue was due to an injury no one had known that much about because I wasnt broadcasting my own stupidity. But fast forward 14 months since surgery and I've been hitting studies hard, I remember having books for that but I am 51 now so its all online. So far over 30 certs, 9+ specializations and 2 ai courses completed now just trying to find someone that needs assistance with business stuff that could gain more than just what im learning now but what else I bring with me as well.
Keep moving forward, someone thought I still needed to be here so here I am I just hate being bored haha
