I’ve just completed the Guided Pentest: Web room on TryHackMe! 🚩
This was a valuable hands-on exercise that helped me put web penetration-testing concepts into practice, from enumerating a web application and identifying vulnerabilities to exploiting a file-upload weakness and gaining remote command execution.
One of my key takeaways was learning not to rely on client-side validation for security. I also worked through troubleshooting challenges along the way, including resolving VPN connectivity issues and verifying access to the target machine.
Each lab is helping me build a stronger understanding of how web vulnerabilities work, how they can be exploited, and how they can be prevented.
I’m continuing to build my skills in web application security, vulnerability assessment, and ethical hacking, one lab at a time. 🔐
