If you don't have the professional experience, build it yourself.
For the past year I've been using Microsoft Entra ID to manage all objects within my (fictitious) healthcare startup, OSHA, including user accounts, group accounts, devices and applications. OSHA operates across multiple branches, with employees in various roles, including managers, technicians, doctors and admin assistants. As the IAM Administrator in this startup, my responsibility is to ensure that identities are properly managed and that access to company resources is secure.
What I've been doing?
Identity Lifecycle Management: Managing the Joiner-Mover-Leaver (JML) process to ensure employees receive the appropriate access when they join, change roles, or leave the company.
Access Control: Assigning employees to groups and managing permissions based on their roles and the principle of least privilege.
Authentication Security: Configuring password and MFA policies to strengthen account security
And many more.
With the ever-changing cybersecurity landscape, it is important now more than ever for organizations to have a strong identity and access management framework to protect their systems, data and users.
