Hey all,

Module 4 is live.

Ethical Hacking track; Scanning Networks is up on iscsecurity.org.

Host discovery, port scanning, service and version detection, OS fingerprinting, and the timing and OPSEC choices that keep a sweep useful instead of noisy. Dual-sided as always: how the techniques work, and how defenders see them coming.

You cannot defend what you have not mapped. You cannot attack what you have not enumerated. This module is the clean middle step between recon and exploitation.

If you are already in the track, go pick it up. If you are new, start at the beginning and work forward.

Wherever you are reading this; morning coffee or late-night lab, I hope the rest of your day (or night) treats you well.

What part of network scanning do you still see teams get wrong most often; timing, scope, or reading the results?
