Why 8 consecutive years of clean audits isn't a "lucky streak...."

Most technology functions don't struggle because effort is absent. They struggle because of operational drift - the slow, silent erosion of alignment between technical activity and executive accountability.

I spent almost 20 years in a globally regulated environment, eventually serving as Director of Technology and CISO. During that time, I led SOX 404, SOC 1 and SOC 2 audits across 8 consecutive cycles with zero material findings.

That result wasn't achieved through "compliance theatre." It was achieved by maintaining direct architectural oversight while leading the enterprise strategy.

In scaling firms, complexity often outpaces leadership. Decisions carry broader impact, and trade-offs become more expensive to reverse. If you cannot clearly define who owns your material technical risks at the board level, you are already drifting.

I provide the fractional executive oversight required to restore that structural clarity. I am an adviser who retains the technical depth to audit the architecture and the executive experience to defend it to the board.

If your technology and security decisions are beginning to feel structurally heavier, we should have a discussion.

I don’t provide a pitch. I provide a path to accountability.
