I am incredibly proud to announce the results from the RHC Conference 2026 – Capture The Flag, hosted by Red Hot Cyber in collaboration with Hack The Box at Rome's Teatro Italia.
Competing as Kernel_Panic_CTF, our young team fought our way to a 5th place finish out of 98 participating teams. Our performance was characterized by a consistent climb up the leaderboard, ending with:
🔹 40 challenges solved out of 68
🔹 33,125 total points
🔹 A definitive spot in the Top 10
On a personal level, competing as SilentGhostline, this achievement carries significant weight. Although I haven't yet transitioned into a professional cybersecurity role, what began as a passion project is rapidly evolving into a disciplined career trajectory. I contributed 21,525 points to our score, clearing 25 challenges ranging from Easy to Insane across Web Exploitation, Forensics, Crypto, OSINT, and Reversing.
My methodology remains unwavering: no improvisation, just rigorous analysis and clean, reproducible execution.
A massive thank you to Red Hot Cyber for the flawless organization and to Hack The Box for bringing a world-class competitive environment to the heart of Rome. Special thanks to Silvia Felici for the warm welcome and support throughout the weekend.
I am also grateful to my teammates at Kernel_Panic_CTF for our technical synergy, and to everyone supporting my growth behind the scenes.
Some dismiss CTFs as games, but they are high-pressure laboratories where the elite cybersecurity mindset is forged. We tackle complex puzzles that professionals spend months designing, and we solve them in under 48 hours. This is where persistence and optimization meet the real world.
The journey continues. Head held high.
