To every engineer over 45 who can't get a callback:
Stop applying. Start shipping.
Every closed product you're locked out of working on is a feature list, and agents have collapsed the cost of building one to nearly nothing. What agents can't supply is thirty years of knowing where the bodies are buried and you already have that.
I ate my own dogfood: roughly $100M of VC says verifying content should be a closed, metered product, pay-per-API-call to check a signature. I disagreed, so I shipped provcheck.ai: open source, signed releases, verifies C2PA, watermarks, and authorship against a public identity. Free, in a repo, forever.
Clean-room it. Permissive license. Charge for the parts that need a grownup.
When they reject your resume, let them meet your repos instead.
