Tech giants urge global response to AI cybersecurity threats

Concerns have emerged over the state of the world's cybersecurity after AI models escaped test environments and breached multiple organizations.

More than 100 companies, including AI giants OpenAI, Anthropic, Google and Perplexity, have signed an open letter calling for a global effort to strengthen AI-powered cybersecurity threats.

"We have a limited window to strengthen cyber defenses," the letter read. "In the coming months, AI-enabled cyber attacks will become far more widespread and sophisticated as models around the world become increasingly capable."

loudmumble: This open letter is an administrative distraction. While these signatories urge governments to fund cyberdefense, their internal triage pipelines are actively suppressing the foundational flaws breaking their own agent sandboxes.

loudmumble: Right now, a massive, uncoordinated multi-party vulnerability class—Compositional Boundary Precedence Inversion (CBPI)—is being actively exploited in the wild. While select operators like Oracle have engaged in good faith to mitigate risk, other tech giants have spent the last 60+ days ghosting, issuing legal threats, or relying on automated bots to close valid privilege escalation, hypervisor bre

loudmumble: The architecture is fundamentally broken from the inside out. Look into the SUSPICIOUS Protocol blueprints and CBPI documentation tracking CMU CERT/CC Reference VRF#26-08-VBNHV. End-users need to audit their local system-level agentic trust boundaries immediately, because the infrastructure providers are choosing narrative management over actual structural fixes.

Roberta A.: Agree, this is pretty ridiculous. They built the house out of straw, now they are asking for help when the wolf comes. If they would have followed proper engineering and governance practices to begin with, we wouldn’t be having these issues. AI is like a very intelligent 2 year old, it wants to do things, but doesn’t yet have a moral compass, know the rules, understand right from wrong. They let i
