3 years ago, during my ISC board exams, something unforgettable happened.

I had studied hard for my Economics paper—revising everything for two full days, right up to the exam morning. But the moment I entered the exam hall, sat down, and filled out the basic details… my mind went completely blank.

I couldn’t recall a single thing about Economics. What I did remember were things like:

Brute force attacks, Dictionary attacks, Rainbow tables, High & low-level payload injections.

Yes — I unintentionally turned my Economics answer sheet into a cybersecurity field report.

Even today, I laugh (and cringe) thinking about it. I still don’t know how my brain made that switch, but maybe that was the moment it became clear:

I wasn’t made to memorise — I was made to build, break, and understand systems deeply.

Now, even after I got graduated and passed out, I realise that moment was never a failure — it was an early sign of where I truly belong: the world of infosec, ethical hacking, and tech.

And to the teacher who checked that paper — if you’re out there, I hope you survived the shock & you are reading this post. Please comment on your experience below in the comments.

From forgetting economics to embracing exploits — this is just the beginning.
