Learn Cyber Security | TryHackMe Cyber Training

Maxwell Bwire — Technical Support Technician

I'm happy to share that I've been working through the OWASP Top 10 on TryHackMe, building my understanding of common web application security risks through hands-on practicals.

During this learning journey, I've explored topics including:

- Injection— understanding how unsafe input handling can lead to exploitation.

- Cryptographic Failures— learning how weak encryption and poor key management can expose sensitive information.

- Software or Data Integrity Failures — exploring the risks of trusting unverified software and data, including insecure deserialization.

- Security testing and exploitation — applying practical techniques in controlled lab environments to understand vulnerabilities and their impact.

These exercises have helped me connect security concepts with practical testing and understand why secure coding, proper input validation, trusted cryptographic methods, and integrity verification matter.

As I continue developing my skills in cybersecurity and ethical hacking, I'm focused on learning by doing, documenting my findings, and improving my ability to identify and understand security weaknesses.

Every lab is another opportunity to learn and improve. 🔐
