Project: Vulnerability Management with Nessus Vulnerability Scanner
In this project I talk about the importance of vulnerability management and why it's crucial for our networks. I showcase Nessus, which is a Vulnerability Scanner I am using on my windows server environment.
I also discuss the importance of determining scan frequency and understanding important factors of identifying which type of systems and information it handles is Critical or Non-Critical.
In addition I also showcase that you can configure your vulnerability scans and how Nessus shows you remediation methods on handling vulnerabilities.
One example of a vulnerability I talk about is Remote Desktop Protocol, and how having Botched Firewall and RDP configurations can put your Windows Hosts at risk, and on top of that, I show just how easy a threat actor can act upon this vulnerability using Kali Linux.
Although the method I show isn't as sophisticated, it still shows just how easy it is to exploit RDP.
