Ifeoluwa A. — Cybersecurity Engineer | Network Operations

Hey community, excited to be here!

I'm Ifeoluwa, a Cybersecurity MSc candidate at Edinburgh Napier University in Scotland, graduating in May 2026 with an expected Distinction. My path into cybersecurity came through network engineering, I spent 18 months as a Core IP/Network Operations Engineer managing enterprise network infrastructure, which gave me a real appreciation for how security and infrastructure intersect in practice.

My dissertation focuses on adversarial machine learning for intrusion detection in automotive CAN bus networks essentially trying to break my own detection system to make it stronger. It's kept me busy and genuinely excited about where defensive AI is heading.

On the tools side I work regularly with Wireshark, Metasploit, Burp Suite, Magnet AXIOM, and Python for scripting. My MSc has given me hands-on experience in digital forensics, network security, incident response, penetration testing, and security audit and compliance. I also hold a CCNA certification.

I'm currently looking for my first dedicated cybersecurity role — SOC analyst, incident response, NOC engineer, or security operations. I'm based in Edinburgh but open to roles across the UK and happy to relocate.

If you're hiring or know someone who is, I'd love to connect. And if you want to talk adversarial ML, network security, or OT/ICS threats, always happy to chat.
