Canaccord Genuity Corp. is seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Architect with deep expertise in the Microsoft Defender Suite, zero trust architecture, threat modeling, and enterprise security strategy. Reporting to the Enterprise Technology team and working closely with the Security team, the role designs and implements proactive, defense-in-depth security solutions across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments. This is a hybrid role with alternating days in the office.
Responsibilities include architecting zero-trust aligned security solutions; leading enterprise deployment of the Microsoft Defender Suite (Endpoint, Cloud, Identity, Office 365); designing IAM strategies (Azure AD, conditional access, PAM); architecting network security, NDR and SASE; conducting threat modeling and architecture reviews; and driving security culture transformation through mentoring and executive communication.
Qualifications: minimum 3+ years architecting enterprise security solutions with zero trust expertise; advanced Microsoft Defender Suite proficiency (SC-100/200/300 or equivalent); strong IAM, network security, vulnerability management and SIEM experience; bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT or Computer Science (CISSP a strong asset); knowledge of NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2 and PCI-DSS. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada with no restrictions.
