Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior SOC Engineer to join a dynamic, international tech team based in the heart of Barcelona (Poblenou). You will be working in a modern office environment with a strong culture of innovation and collaboration. This role is focused on fortifying our security posture through advanced detection, proactive hunting, and rapid incident response within a mature AWS-centric environment.
Scope of Work
Detection Engineering: Design, build, and tune high-fidelity detection rules to identify malicious activity across cloud and endpoint environments.
Incident Response: Lead investigations into complex security alerts, performing root cause analysis and coordinating remediation efforts.
Threat Hunting: Conduct proactive hunting exercises to uncover hidden threats and vulnerabilities that bypass traditional security controls.
Cloud Security: Monitor and secure our AWS infrastructure, ensuring best practices and visibility across all cloud assets.
Deliverables
Optimized SIEM dashboards and alerting pipelines.
Detailed incident post-mortem reports and mitigation strategies.
Custom detection scripts and automation playbooks.
Documented threat hunting methodologies and findings.
Requirements
Minimum 5 years of experience in Security Operations (SOC) or Incident Response.
Proven expertise in AWS Security services and architecture.
Proficiency in Detection Engineering and Threat Hunting methodologies.
Experience with Zscaler , CyberArk , or M365 Security is highly desirable.
Ability to work on-site in Barcelona (Poblenou) and integrate with a fast-paced international team.
Relevant certifications such as GCIH, GCFA, or AWS Certified Security - Specialty are a plus.
