Sentinel - Cyber Detection Specialist — Hitachi Cyber

Help protect world-class organizations by developing, optimizing, and maintaining threat detection capabilities in Microsoft Sentinel. Work alongside experienced experts and diverse client environments to hunt threats, strengthen security posture, and support the evolution of Hitachi Cyber's global SOC.
What you'll do: design and optimize detection rules, use cases and dashboards in Microsoft Sentinel and Google SecOps; continuously test, validate and improve detections against emerging threats; analyze log data to identify IoCs; tune SIEM rules, filters and thresholds to reduce false positives; implement a Detection-as-Code approach via CI/CD pipelines; produce reports on detection performance; collaborate with SOC analysts; develop internal tools and API integrations; and conduct hypothesis-driven threat hunts.
What you bring: degree in cybersecurity, information security or computer science (or equivalent); 3+ years in information security; 1+ year hands-on with Microsoft Sentinel and/or Google SecOps; cloud security experience (Azure, GCP, AWS); knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK; strong proficiency in SPL, KQL, YARA-L and scripting (Python, PowerShell); relevant certifications (SANS, GIAC, Security+) and DevOps/CI-CD security practices an asset.
