Senior Security Specialist — Teckhorizon Inc

Our client is seeking Senior Security Specialists with extensive experience in Threat Risk Assessments (TRA), threat modeling, vulnerability assessment, and security risk management. The successful candidates will support the growth and maturity of the Security Risk Management and Information Security Office by conducting end-to-end risk assessments, identifying security risks, developing threat models, and recommending mitigation strategies aligned with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities: conduct comprehensive Threat Risk Assessments (TRAs) across systems, applications, business processes and assets; identify, evaluate and prioritize threats and vulnerabilities; apply threat modeling methodologies; maintain risk registers; produce detailed assessment reports and executive summaries; collaborate with business and technical stakeholders; recommend mitigation strategies; and support security governance, audit and compliance initiatives.
Mandatory qualifications (10+ years): deep knowledge of risk management frameworks (ISO 31000, NIST RMF, FAIR); strong experience with threat modeling methodologies (STRIDE, DREAD, PASTA, MITRE ATT&CK); expertise in threat identification, vulnerability assessment and risk prioritization; governance knowledge of ISO 27001, NIST CSF and CIS Controls; knowledge of regulatory requirements (PHIPA); and excellent communication and executive reporting skills.
